The 64th Meeting of the APEC Expert Group on Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EGEEC 64)

The 64th Meeting of the APEC Expert Group on Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EGEEC 63), as part of the Joint Meeting of Four Expert Groups of the APEC Energy Working Group (EWG) and associated Workshops, will be hosted by Hong Kong, China from 8 to 11 April 2025. This marks the first-ever Joint Meeting of the Four Expert Groups of the APEC Energy Working Group (EGEEC, EGCFE, EGEDA, and EGNRET).

Moreover, on 8 April 2025, Hong Kong, China and APERC will also organise the APEC Workshop on Promoting Energy Efficiency Enhancement in Electricity Generation and the 8th Oil and Gas Security Network (OGSN) Forum, respectively.

The meeting will bring together APEC member economies and international organisations to exchange policies, rules, planning, and investments to boost energy efficiency actions towards the APEC aspirational target of reducing aggregate energy intensity by 45 percent from 2005 levels by 2035.
